School Field Trips
Fresh Air = Fresh Kids!
For your Preschool, Daycare and Special Needs groups
You’ll enjoy our approx. one hour Orchard Tour at Minnetonka Orchards! When you arrive we’ll lead you to our outdoor orchard seating area an experienced guide who will talk, sing, and interact with your little helpers about the orchard, how it got started, what it takes to grow apples, and the job of our bees and beekeeper.
Then we take a little stroll to the vintage tractors for a Hayride around the orchard and stop and at the main Apple Barn where your kids and grown ups alike will dismount the wagons and our staff will guide the kids to a covered area for a Apple snack. The Grown Ups can check out our Apple Barn for a Hot Cup of Coffee or Apple Cider or maybe a Apple Donut. Then your group is gathered up and our tour guides shown the kids our grading barn and discuss how the apples are washed, polished, dried and graded. We also show an 1800’s vintage cider press and talk about how cider is made.
Your group will then take a short walk down to the Lower Orchard play area, where there are restrooms, picnic areas, as well as our Petting Barn, Corn Crib Fort, Giant Train, and Hay Mountain and Corn Maze.

For your K throught 3rd grade groups
You’ll enjoy our approx. one hour Apple Tour at Minnetonka Orchards! When you arrive we’ll lead you to our outdoor orchard seating area an experienced guide who will have a short orintation about nature and technolagy and how people use them to grow wonderful crops for kids to eat. There are two lesson stations that your kids will interact with "The Irragation Station" and "The Bug Investagaton
Station".
Then we take a little stroll to the vintage tractors for a extended Hay ride around the orchard and stop and at the main Apple Barn where your kids and grown ups alike will dismount the wagons and our staff will guide the kids to a area for a Apple snack. Apple Tour;
The cost is $6.00 per child, and also $6 for each additional adult above the one required for every 10 children.
Pumpkin Tour;
The cost is $8.00 per child, and also $8 for each additional adult above the one required for every 10 children.
Our tours go on – rain or shine – large event tent for rainy days, so come dressed for the weather.
