Weekend Events 2008
Orchard hours are 9am to 7pm everyday starting August 20th.
Come out during the week for FREE! Run through the woods, corn maze, and jump on the giant train and hay mountain.
We offer hayrides ($2 per rider Wednesday thru Friday) and included in admission on Saturday, Sunday and MEA. We have themed weekends so check out the detials below. Everyday we offer a corn maze, Owen's barnyard, giant train, corn crib fort, giant hay mountain, spooky graveyard, pumpkins, apples, and plenty of open space to run. We offer other activities depending on the specific weekend.
Admission is $4 per person on Saturday, Sunday, and MEA Thursday and Friday (ages 3 and under free).

It’s the early birds getting what they deserve Weekend at the Orchard. Early for the season that is, not the day.

Vintage Weekend, Sept. 13th - 14th 2008
We've deffinately got the Tractor Factor! Are you feeling nostalgic? We're showcasing our six refurbished vintage tractors. If you have a tractor, be sure to bring it along for this weekend.

Halloween Haunt , Oct. 4th - 5th 2008
- Locklin Road back for Saturday only for another day of great irish music.
- M.J. Madden the magician who is a renowned 14 year old majician that can blow up his head , as well as disappear.
Apple Theater , Oct. 11th - 12th 2008
Oh yeah, it's an apple-pa-looza fruit fest. Come on out to the farm and be awed and amazed by our special young guest stars. Performing in the Pine Forest stage area is
The Mini-Apple Circus. These talented kids ages 9 to 15 will perform three shows each day and the approximate times on Saturday are (2,3,and 4) and on Sunday they're (12:30, 1:30, and 2:30). Enjoy these shows in our open-air setting amidst the fall colors and fresh apples. These shows are fun for apple lovers of all ages.
MEA Thursday and Friday Oct. 16th - 17th 2008
School's out! Enjoy a special day out at the Orchard with your kids. There will be lots of kid-centered fun, including hayrides andNiftly Nature arts and crafts. Climb our giant hay mountain, meet a new animal friend at Owen's Barnyard or check out our new Corn Crib Fort.
CiderFest, Oct. 18th - 19th 2008
Come on out and help us make fresh apple cider using our turn of the century antique cider press! This weekend is for all of you who love to spend a fall day in the orchard sipping freshly pressed apple cider. Yummy! Be sure to bring your blanket for a fall picnic.
We've invited our friends from Minnesota Blue to perform on the hill with their fantastic Blue Grass tunes both Saturday and Sunday. You can pick up one of their CD's in the apple barn.
Bonfires and Hayrides, Oct. 25th - 26th 2008

- We're not sure about the Jiffy Pop Popcorn since our bonfire put is large and the handles on those are so short. But we're givin it a try!

Dog Days of Fall, November 1st - 2nd, 2008
Customer appreciation weekend! Free Admission, Free corn Maze, free Hayrides, and Bonfire starting at 10 am and going till at least 4 pm!
Also, it's all about your dog this weekend so please check us out as a wide open space to visit! Half price on hot dogs, and prizes for the best dog sweater, owner / dog look alike contests. We are also giving doggy hayrides, and adopt a dog area.

Hoe Joe Hoedown, Oct. 18th 10:00am - 10:00pm 2008
We've invited our friends from Minnesota Blue to perform on the hill with their fantastic Blue Grass tunes both Saturday and Sunday. You can pick up one of their CD's in the apple barn.
This year for the Hoe Joe Hoe Down we're having activities all day around the bonfire. The “Real Guitar Hero” finalists will battle on stage (back porch by the bonfire pit) for orchard-goers, local Boy Scouts will be on hand to teach fire safety skills and there will be plenty of caramel apple mores to go around for free from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. There will be Hoe Joe activities throughout the day by the bonfire pit to participate in as well.
The Hoe Joe, by the way, is a new tool that works great for fire pits and fire places to move the logs safely and stoke the fire. Invented and made in Minnesota! The Hoejoe - The Original Bonfire Maintenance Tool

Local Boy Scout troops and HoeJoe, the bonfire maintenanace tool will give safety tips on wood handling and hauling as well aswarnings and regulations regarding Emerald Ash Boor and Bonfire Safety. They will also give tips on types of wood and ways to stack it for a better bonfire. |

Nifty Nature Explorer Class,
11:00am/1:00pm Thursdays, Sept. 18th - Oct. 30th 2008
Come join us on Thursdays as we get together to explore nature and make a nifty refrigerator magnet with what the kids find. The classes start at 10:30 and end at 1:30 so it's an ebb and flow of kids making these nature gifts. The cost per child is $6.
